Venture Capitalist and Investment Partner with Sway Ventures
Shelly Kapoor Collins, a venture capitalist and investment partner with Sway Ventures, leads early stage investing in technology companies founded by women and diverse founders. Prior to joining Sway, Shelly launched the Shatter Fund to invest in female-led tech companies and the Shatter Foundation to foster equity in entrepreneurship through education for school age girls in underserved communities. Shelly also has experience in politics, having been appointed to the National Women’s Business Council and as Vice Chair of the Women in Public Service Project. Shelly was a member of the Harris Victory Fund’s National Finance Committee, contributed to the Transition Team for then Attorney General Kamala D. Harris, and acted as a National Co-Chair for Technology for Barack Obama’s 2012 Presidential Re-Election Campaign. Recognized by Forbes and the Economic Times of India, Shelly is a member of the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship’s Board at the University of Maryland and an “Honorary Friend” of the U.S. Department of State’s U.S.-India Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment.
