Yoga Factory
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, Yoga Factory offers a wide variety of classes year-round, featuring premier instruction indoors in a welcoming setting.
DC Row
Get a full-body workout at DC Row, an indoor rowing studio offering fun yet intense programs with detailed and interactive instructions.
Ice Skating Rink
Put on your own skates or rent them at our rink to glide across the ice in one of DC’s most scenic rinks during wintertime.
East Potomac Park & Hains Point
Just across the Washington Channel, East Potomac Park invites you to tee off on DC’s public golf course, play a round of miniature golf, or challenge your partner to a tennis match. There are also several athletic fields for baseball, softball, soccer, rugby, or American football. The island’s roads and paths are also a popular destination for runners, bikers, and inline skaters.
Anacostia Riverwalk Trail
Explore this 20-mile, paved trail that goes from the Bladensburg Waterfront Park to the Tidal Basin—your connection to such sights as the National Arboretum, Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, Nationals Park, and more.

Music & Nightlife


Spectacular concerts at The Anthem. Unique bars and taverns to meet friends for cocktails. Live music at many of our restaurants. The Wharf comes alive with its own soundtrack everywhere you go. Set against the calming current of the Potomac waterfront, this will be the most exciting music and bar scene in Washington, DC.

The Anthem
Our acoustically advanced concert venue that can hold up to 6,000 people and features everything from mega shows to intimate performances.
Pearl Street Warehouse
Music lovers enjoy live-and-up-close American music performances from around the country with a side of great food.
Union Stage     
A new music venue that will host some of the biggest concerts in DC. With good eats and a superior sound system, it has everything you need.
Kirwan's Irish Pub
Boasting live Irish music and genuine décor, this is the place to appreciate a good pint or two with friends and drink in the exciting atmosphere.
Pearl Street
Find live music, great food and drinks at one of The Wharf’s main entertainment hubs. This charming alley closes to vehicular traffic each afternoon to allow for easy strolling.
Floating Barge
Anchored right off Transit Pier, this stage hosts all kinds of performers throughout the year.

Parks & Piers


The Wharf is home to ten acres of parks, open green spaces, and a stunning village green—as well as four distinct piers for recreation and transportation. It’s a true breath of fresh air in this vibrant DC neighborhood where you can recharge, connect, or just watch the boats go by.

Market Pier
Direct waterside access for boaters and visitors to our Market Square and the Municipal Fish Market.
Transit Pier
A bustling launch pad for a wide variety of things to do—from catching the water taxi to seeing live concerts to skating at Wharf Ice Rink in the winter.
District Pier
The Wharf’s largest pier is a dramatic gathering place and backdrop to our festivals.
Recreation Pier
Catch the Wharf Jitney, our free ferry to East Potomac Park, or rent a kayak or paddleboard to go out on the water and see a different side of Washington, DC.
7th Street Park
A lush and energetic green space for relaxation and outdoor workouts featuring walking trails, benches, and stand-up desks.  
Waterfront Park
A 3.5-acre park right at the edge of the Wharf, with rows of willow trees, shady trellises and room for bocce.
Banneker Park
Just north of Market Square, this open green space connects The Wharf to the L’Enfant Plaza promenade.
East Potomac Day Docks
The Wharf Jitney lets you off at this dock across the Washington Channel, and it’s also where you can launch or tie up paddle crafts for up to three hours during daylight during operating season (the dock closes at dusk). Click here for more information.
 

Water Activities


Launch your kayak or dangle your feet from the pier—at The Wharf, you can enjoy the waterfront any way you like. Our marinas welcome boaters from near and far, including those who want to learn how to sail, while there are plenty of opportunities for those who just want to sit back and relax on a pleasure cruise on the Potomac River.

DC Sail
DC Sail is the community sailing program of the National Maritime Heritage Foundation, offering sailing lessons, boat rentals, schooner charters, sailing camp, and fleet racing on the Washington Channel for both youth and adults.
Entertainment Cruises
Whether you want to go on a lovely dinner cruise, see the cherry blossoms from the water, take a historical tour or host a special event, Entertainment Cruises offers ample options for memorable outings. 
Carefree Boat Club
Boat when and where you want! Members of Carefree Boat Club get access to a variety of boat styles with unlimited usage.
DC Dragon Boat Club
Founded in March 2008, the DC Dragon Boat Club, Inc. is a non-profit organization that promotes individual and community participation in the team sport of dragon boating.
Kayak & Paddleboard
Rent a kayak or paddleboard and explore the waterfront from the Potomac River.
Free Personal Craft Launch
Bring your own kayak, paddleboard, boat—or whatever water vehicle you have—to our Recreation Pier for free water access and launch sites.
